Not much to say here--- just an updated photo of the ever increasing pony army. At this point, I have 88 Ponies in the army. I'm finishing up painting Scratch's sunglasses right now-- and Wild Fire still needs her cutie-marks (I'll probably paint those at the con) Rarity will be along before the end of the day I hope-- leaving me the next several days to finish up Applejacks, Sleepy Skies and Snowdrop in those few sparse hours between sleep and work.

Because I'm trying to finish all these up, I probably will only have about half the kits I was hoping to take... Which is fine-- because those can always be ordered on-line. The finished ponies really are what best represents my work, and they're also the more profitable end of things for me. ;)

Wow that's a pretty impressive army. Are there no issues with copyright when selling these kinds of things? I only ask because I genuinely have no idea. Getting involved in the My little pony crazy would definitely be profitable it would seem lol.

There shouldn't be any issues with selling the finished ponies-- People have been customizing MLPs for something like 25 years now. Hasbro is pretty cool about it also so long as one doesn't try to pass them off as official Hasbro products.
The resin mane and tail kits I sell for them fall into a bit more of a gray area, but again, Hasbro is pretty good about letting the fandom do it's thing. If I tried to take this to some sort of professional/commercial level, I'd probably get in trouble, but as just a hobby, it should be fine.

Even batch orders? That's pretty good of them then. I figured they would have probably been more involved now seeing as there are so many people selling plushies and the like of the guys from MLP. I guess there would be far too much to police anyways!

how much for one?

The finished ponies are going to be between $90 and $130... Daring Do is for the Charity Auction though, so I'm hoping that she'll go for a lot more. ;)

you are really talented at making these ponies, how long does it take to finish at least one pony and which pony mane is the hardest to make?

Well, since I have molds and all the manes you're seeing are resin casts of sculpts that I've done, they're all pretty much the same level of difficulty to make... But some are easier than others to prep and paint...
I can honestly say that Daring Do is the hardest to finish though... and not because of her accessories and other stuff-- her mane and tail are six colors and they're all need to be mixed...
If I'm diligent and don't have anything else going on, I can probably crank out a pony, from start to finish, in a day.
