Luna Redux

At the beginning of the year, one of my projects was to do a sculpt for Season 2 Luna with the new Princess Celestia Toy. She was actually one of my top priorities, but my motivation to complete the project really disappeared when the photos of the new Princess Cadence toy started popping up... which would be a much better sculpt to represent Luna-- and there's already been at least one picture of a prototype Luna that uses that sculpt.

So, now that I've managed to get my hands on a Cadence-- I thought that it might be fun to spend a bit of time (basically this morning) on the start of my new Luna sculpt. So here are my two Luna sculpts as they currently stand.

A few things to note in the picture...
My de-haired Celestia was temporarily misplaced during the move into the new office. So another Celestia is filling in-- which is why she has hair under the WIP mane. I may try to salvage this mane for using with Celestia or NMM-- but I have no idea how possible that'll actually be until I make my usual montage of screen-caps.

The base for Luna's tail is hiding there in the background between Shining Armor and Cadence.

And yes, Shining Armor is prepped for some fun also-- I'm not all that thrilled that he had a carpet glued to his head, but whatever. I very much doubt I'm going to do the sculpt for SA first-- I'll probably do something a bit more fun beforehand.

Anyway, I'm just toying with these sculpts right at the moment. I just got my new Legos to help with the mold making, so I'm hoping to get the molds for the CMC finally set up today, if not poured. I've really dilly-dallied way too long getting those done.
