I played with a few things today-- and nixed Rarity from the picture. Derpy got a substitute cutie-mark, and things seem to mesh in this configuration, so I'm going to call this drawing a wrap.

I can honestly say that this is the first time I've ever used one of my own drawings as a desktop background. =)

LOL @ derpy's cutie mark epic man that's just hilarious.
also in the words of sweetie belle "I really like her mane" man that lighting effect you did to NMM's mane on the outlines of her mane really make this awesome. it really makes it look like her mane is glowing (like its made of light). i especially love how you did the blue streak above her head (coming off the tip of her mane) it looks like the energy from her mane is floating out. this would make a great poster or maybe even shirt.

Yeah, I'm thinking that I might bring some prints with me to EqLA-- but only if I can get all my ducks lined up before the con. I really haven't done any prep yet and will probably be going nuts right before I'm supposed to leave.

lol just like with EFNW huh. tho prints should be easier to get done then fully done kits. unless your planning on drawing many different prints.

Ha! No! But I've never gotten stuff printed before. I'm not exactly overflowing with the free time needed to get all this stuff done. We'll see-- I tend to be a creature of opportunity when it comes to stuff like this.

It was an idea that had wandered through my head, and a couple other people mentioned it also when I posted the WIP pictures... so I decided to just do it and see what happens. Turns out I liked it. =)
